The story is in '77 he had sex with a 13 year old actress trying to make it in hollywood. Pled guilty to the charge but stated that he didn't know she was 13 at the time, apparently she "looked older".

I wont comment on "OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 13 YEAR OLD KID AND AN 18 YEAR WOMAN?!?".

What I will comment on is the fact that some big name hollywood'ers are trying to get the charges dropped for what ever reason they've come up with. Some of these names are, Harvey Weinstein, who is quoted in saying, "We're calling on every filmmaker we can to help fix this terrible situation," and Monica Bellucci, who has started a petition for authorities to let Polanki off the hook.

Ok first of all, Mr. Weinstein, yes this is a "terrible situation". A 13 year old girl was taken advantage of by an older man, who had intercourse with her. Whether it was consentual or rape. She was 13 years old. IT'S AGAINST THE LAW and dare I say it? Good Moral Standing? Ok, well maybe not Disney's or MJ's but 95% of the world!

Second! Miss. Bellucci, were you taken advantage of this pedophile as well!? Also, see the first note to Mr. Weinstein. OH and putting together a petition for the release of a pedophile, signed by hundreds of other pedophiles is just doing us all a favour in getting these sick fuckers locked up. THANKS!

In the article that I had read on ASKMEN.com the alleged victim, Samantha Gailey, has said to drop the charges after suing Polanski, winning and getting a settlement. TRANSLATION: being paid off to forget being molested.

Well luckily that means shit. Guess what Polanski, you may be an honoured film maker, but I hope you rot in jail for the rest of your 20-25 years you have left on this earth.

So I haven't been on this much and probably not many have stopped by recently. I'm not so much a man of words anymore, as I think I once was. Now I go by a much different philosophy, one that I feel sums up very well what I do and have done in work and life. "Facta non verba", or "Deeds, not words". I mean no historian, but I believe it goes back to the old addage of "actions, speak louder than words". It can very much so, be applied to what is going on today in the world. This whole political mess that is going on with the parties here in the Can. These suits need to just move on and start acting. Instead they continue to get on with this political square dance on the news and newspapers. If they took on the credo stated above, things would be moving instead of at a stalemate which it seems it has reach at this point. How do they expect things to change if they continue to stop progress with their nonsensical arguments ? Anyways, enough of the political banter.

Movies. One of my favourite escapes. Haven't seen much. TV. Another fav. I've been turned on to a show called, "The Shield". Amazing cop show. The actors are great and the topics are real. Very entertaining.

I'm only sorry I didn't catch on to it sooner, as it's in season 7 I believe. The holiday season is here, we've just got dumped with a load of snow. Sucks. I'm so psyched to get out there in the freeze to start shovelling and scraping. Music. Haven't really caught anything new, other than the old. It's pretty much the only thing you can count on not to change around here. The weather, life, your wallet. Well thats all. Not sure when the next time will be, when it is, it is. The tree lighting is this weekend at

just wouldn't cut it.

The new job has started. It's pretty much the same deal as the last. Just a lot more interesting and, well better. It was kind of daunting when I was thinking about it. As I said before, its the same sort of deal but the kicker is its on a bigger scale on some aspects. Such as the building and the amount of people I work with. That lasted a couple minutes anyways. Its a great help to be able to step back and say, "wait a minute, i've been through this already, i've done all this before". So it was quickly packed away. The only struggle is the commute, but I'm sure once I get into a groove it'll be fine. I've already set up a plan so it's just a matter of adapting and overcoming.

So here in Ontario (thats in Canada) we have recently been experiencing a lot of fatalities due to impaired drivers and speeders. Basically people I have no idea how they got their license to drive a motor vehicle in the first place. Ah yes, the joys of corrupted systems. The saying, "Money talks" comes to mind. None the less, the Ontario government has come up with some new laws or "legislation" if you will, to combat these fuckers. Keep in mind the vehicles can be seized for 7days and fines of $2,000 can be given. I personally, have no problem with these new laws but cannot help but laugh at the last bulleted section of the legislation. It for some reason urges me to watch films such as, "Good Fellas" and "The Godfather".

Under the new legislation vehicles can be seized
and fines handed out when drivers:
Drive 50 km/h or more over the speed limit
Race and/or stunt drive
Drive with someone in the trunk

None the less, laws of this calibre will still not stop these 'mamalukes' from using their cars like RC racers at the circus. Maybe I should invest in a helicopter....

So the day and time that I had been so anxiously awaiting for, finally came. The anticipation I had for this film was incredible. I hadn't been this excited to see a film since...well truthfully, I can't even remember. So I graciously buy the ticket and step quickly towards the theater. Number 10 to be exact. As time winds down to the show time, I keep thinking to myself that I hope I haven't built this movie up too much to be horribly let down in the end. I couldn't have been so wrong.

The movie starts as a soldier telling a story about a Spartan who is to be 'King Leonidas'. Which also plays hand in hand with an introduction to the customs of the people of Sparta. It tells us about such things as how they, believe it or not, "choose" their newborns, how these boys become warriors, how they are constantly being trained and tested throughout their life. So that they can ultimately be the best soldiers the world has ever known. The story of Leonidas' childhood climaxes at a pivotal point in which Leonidas is faced with his last test where his is put up against a giant black wolf, with what looked to be fire in his eyes . For the record was completely bad ass. Not to give too much away he returns to Sparta victorious and takes his place as King of Sparta. It was an action packed introduction/crash course in the history of Spartans, which gave you a great background on who the Spartans were and what they stood for. And so the story begins...

I must say this movie immediately grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go until the end. It's literally a roller coaster ride that you wish would keep going. Aside from that, I was in complete and utter awe of the visuals in the movie. After watching a behind the scenes look of the movie on SPIKETV, I believe it was the director who has said that "anything beyond 200 feet was all CGI". Well you really had to look twice. The backgrounds and environments are beautifully done. If not flawless. The colours of the movie just add so much atmosphere to the movie I thought. The browns, crimsons, grey tones just added so much to the movie. In ways that I just can't explain. The only word for it all visually is 'beautiful'.
Now to get to the real fun stuff. The fight scenes. One word, "Amazing". Quick cuts to fast paced to slow motion movements of death and carnage. Sounds like it would leave you dizzy. For lack a better word. Well it doesn't. The scenes are so well done. Giving you the feeling that you are just as much apart of them as the Spartans and their enemies. The camera angles are right in the thick of the battle. Death, blood, gore all around you. You are in this war whether you like it or not. And I'm very sure you're liking it.
With all that aside, the story tells you about these men's devotion to their country, to freedom, to their king and most of all, to each other. I actually came to thinking about our own war in Iraq and Afghanistan. About the men and women over there fighting for quite similar values and having very little backing politically and otherwise at home.
So to try and sum up my thoughts of this movie, I was not let down in the least. I had a great time seeing this film, enjoyed every minute of it. I recommend it to all those with a pulse and those without.

Nights of the Very Alive Remakes

"They're coming to get you Barbara!"

Yes they are and there is nothing you can do about it. As any cold blooded movie goer knows, the past couple years have been the "Age of Remakes". For the sake of readability, I'll change this to the "Age of Revival", it doesn't seem so 'fau pas'.
So the age of revival is upon us. Most of us who are faithful to our mistress, the film industry, know the movies and for those who haven't expanded their horizons probably have no idea the movie is a remake. At least until they hear it from the people below them who are telling them to stop kicking their fucking chairs.
So what do we think of these 'revivals' ? Well from discussions, debates, rants, etc. The overall thoughts are not so good. Why ? Well other than the obvious reason of the movie being a big piece of paper bagged, flaming dog shit. It's possibly because those of us who are fans of the original film are scared. Yes, scared. The fact that someone has taken something that we either love, respect, think is the holy grail, etc. and made it their own; is change. We all hate change. It takes us away from our comfort zone. So some of us rebel against it. Whether it be because of our thick skulls, rock hard beliefs and just plain old stubbornness. We have to accept that directors, writers and producers are reviving our classics and bringing them to the youths of today. Some people may be saying there is no 'originality' anymore. Maybe so. But is there much left to be original with, without taking SOMETHING from another film that may have inspired or may have been a favourite? Probably not. We go with what works. These classics worked. And STILL work in their original forms. So why not spruce them up with technology and some new talent?
Personally, I have no problem with these 'revivals' . The good ones anyways. But I do admit full heartedly that there have been some horribly fucking done 'revivals' that are probably not worth the name they bare. Nonetheless we are left to hope for something spectacular. Something true to the original, without destroying it. In my eyes, I have an incredible amount of sympathy goes out to the directors, writers who have to put these things together. The pressures and stresses they must feel is probably ridiculous.
So with that, Will I go see a 'Revival'? Probably. Will I enjoy it? Possibly. Will I use a couple bad 'revivals' to denounce other upcoming films of the same nature? I sure as hell will try not to.
Should you all adopt my commandments? Fuck yes.

The Rider

This past Friday I joined many anxious fans at the viewing of "Ghost Rider". Which stared Nicolas Cage as 'Johnny Blaze' and 'Ghost Rider'. Also, the ever so voluptuous, Eva Mendez as 'Roxanne Simpson' who is Johnny Blaze's love interest in movie. The movie was also graced by the timeless, Peter Fonda as 'Mephistopheles', which is basically a fancy word they had used for the character, who is Satan. So as the movie begins, we all know what to expect. The 20 - 30 minutes of bombarding commercials for upcoming movies or sponsors. In this case specifically I was not bothered by it so much because they had shown very good movies which quite honestly had me salivating when all was said and done.

Alright with all the introductions aside and taken care of. It's safe to say the movie begins. It began pretty intensely with an intense orchestral piece, coupled with a road which looked to be leading to hell due to the fact that everything was on fire around it. It gave you the perspective of what the Ghost Rider might see while on a ride to hell; Burning up asphalt and only lead by a faintly lit headlight and some hellfire and brimstone. As the beginning credits zip by, I am already thinking to myself, "Wow, this is going to be a pretty kick ass movie" and I hadn't even seen any actors or heard any commentary whatsoever. Definitely a good way to start off watching a movie, especially one that stars Nicholas Cage. So it starts off with setting up the back story as to Johnny Blaze's childhood with his father. They work for a circus as motorcycle stunt artists. Their relationship with each other being a disconnected one because of his father not knowing how to tell his son that he has lung cancer. So it goes on introducing Eva Mendez's character who is Blaze's love interest as a child and as an adult. So Johnny finds out that his father has lung cancer and makes the deal with the devil to cure the cancer, not knowing that it wouldn't save him from injury. So his father dies and Johnny runs away from the show and setting up his own stunt show, which leads him to his adulthood. Now I don't want to get too much into the rest of the movie, as to not spoil it for anyone who wants to watch it. The effects of the rider and the transformation that Nicholas Cage makes as his becomes the rider for the first time is pretty well done. The Ghost Rider character melded very well into the real environment and didn't look out of place at all, well for a flaming skeleton in leather it did very well interacting with the other characters. There was something that I believe should be noted. That is the way they showed Ghost Riders emotions. Seeing as there isn't much movement that a skull can make realistically without making it look like something out of "A Nightmare Before Christmas' ", 'Jack Skellington'. They decided on making the flames change colour to blue and become more subdued for sad moments or they become much more intense and vibrant for more aggressive and anger toned moments.

I must also mention Eva Mendez's character. They had this woman wearing low cut blouses(i had to look up what a blouse was just for this entry!) throughout practically the whole movie. Her whole wardrobe consisted of basically completely tight fitted clothing and bras that lifted her assets to the heavens in due fashion. Nonetheless her acting was well initiated as well.
So all in all my thoughts on the movie are that it was very well put together. It had its comedic moments as well as the fast paced, heart pounding action that every comic-to-big screen movie deserves and needs. Plus there was plenty of fire.

It was great fun up at the range. I have a few of the targets as souvenirs of the day. I had the opportunity to shoot these;
Glock .40cal,
.38cal Revolver,
.22cal, (its a russian pistol, I forget the name for it)
9mm Ruger (double action only)

We'll be going out to the range again on January 2nd. I can't wait. We'll have the opportunity to use the rifles and shotguns this time around.
It's lots of fun out there. Gives you a complete respect for firearms and changes your perspective from them being used to killing people to something that is really safe if used properly and can be really fun.

Especially Constabled

Now that that is out of the way, I can go into what I have been doing all this time.
Not much. Going to class, learning how to be a police officer. We also got the chance to goto the court houses in Toronto, twice. In my opinion if you're wanting to go into a field of law enforcement this place is the best to start going to learn how all the stuff you've learned in the book is applied. We had the chance to see quite a few interesting cases. There were robberies, assaults, and murder. It was by far very beneficial to what we were doing. This brings me into the next topic. What I've have decided to do after I graduate from this course with a college diploma. I've decided to work as a Court Officer in Toronto for a while to gain experience and network a little to possibly increase my chances of becoming a full fledged Police Officer. The court officers are known as, "Special Constables" because they have the powers of a police officer, but only in the courts and during their shift. Whereas, a police officer has their powers 24/7. None the less it will be great experience and since I will be working for the Toronto Police. The move to a Police Officer will almost be a lateral move for me. I have also heard that they hire especially from the Court Officers, seeing as they have most of the knowledge of a police officer and know the procedures and how to exercise their powers within the law. The great bonus about it all is that its a Monday to Friday job, working normal day hours and I would work only 4 weekends out of the year. This is indeed, quite a sweet deal. Oh! Did I mention that the pay is great too ?
So I'm quite excited about that venture. Hopefully I'll be able to do it.
And that my friends is an account of my whereabouts and decisions of these past couple weeks.

Merry-Happy Holi-christmas

Well it has indeed been quite a while since I've written here. Unfortunately, but I guess theres a few things that are to be addressed in this 'episode'. So! The first order of business will be ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS! or should I say, "The Happy Holidays". I really do not understand why people are so concerned with the apparent political correctness of this. It is, after all the whole reason for December being what it is. Other wise it would just be another month. I find it hilarious how people will say that they are offended by someone saying, "Merry Christmas!". Can this simple and innocent phrase or well wishing be THAT destructive that it causes companies and places of importance to put enforced BANS on it ? What is it about the phrase that makes it so dangerous or offensive ?
To address the first question, I'm sure many of you will agree that phrases or words can be quite hurtful or "destructive" if you will. But can a phrase that is meant as a well wishing be so destructive to society ? I highly doubt that this will bring down nations or destroy cultures. Although I'm sure some of the nut jobs out there would disagree. Now to address the second of the questions, If you break the whole thing down and know exactly what these two words mean, I'm positive that it will prove my point to the harmlessness of this whole thing.

Now after all that, the meanings say it all. "cheerfulness, joyous, happy, laughingly". Last time I checked these words were definitely not on the list of hurtful or harmful.
So to conclude with this, since its gone way longer than I expected. Sure "Christmas" is indeed the belief of the birth of Jesus in essence, but I believe its gone way past that and should be seen as a holiday of giving to others, spending time with family and friends. I know it is hard for a lot of people to just be nice with others, so I suppose they can have this one month or day to be nice to their fellow human being. And that is what I think this "Merry Christmas" should be seen as.

Calvacade of Lights

So we get onto the subway toward Eaton Center, after maybe 4 stops, a couple enters the car. The male gentlemen carrying at least 3 or 4 bags full of little girl clothing. This automatically gets my investigative mind going. So I look him over, and notice he has ink all over his hands, which could have possibly been from him painting or something. He also seemed a little strung out, possibly coming off of some sort of amphetamine. I noticed this with his female companion as well, only she seemed to be speaking in a nasally tone. Which possibly could be that she might have snorted something OR quite possibly she could just have a cold. Who knows. But I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. Anyways, so the male gentlemen begins taking out all these clothes and speaking with his female companion, which could hardly be made out because of the mumbling that was done in their conversation. None the less, these two people quite possibly have had at least $100 worth of children's clothing in their bags. I'm going to assume in a HOPEFUL manner that they are two people who have had a tough time in life and are trying to get something for their little girl(s) at home. Again, I really hope that is the case.

And now on to happier things. So we went to the lighting at Nathan Philip's Square(Toronto City Hall). It was pretty amazing what they did with the fire works and the lights. We were able to get video of it all on the digital camera, so that should be quite the souvenir from the night. They also did a great job at sprucing up Old City Hall(which is now a Court House), which for those who don't know, is an old building with gothic architecture. What they did to turn this building into somewhat less of a downer is they projected colours to quite basically colour in a whole side of the building. I took some pictures of it. It was pretty cool. We also went to see the Swarovski Christmas tree at the Eaton Center, which is quite the sight to see. Apparently there are trees around the world decorated by the company. Which I personally think is an accomplishment for a crystal company. And that was my awesome night. So thats about all I have to say about that. Until next time kiddies!

Well now that thats over..An update on my current status. I finally got my paycheck from ShittyGuard. Which is great. I returned their stupid uniform, but I forgot to bring them the tie. Which I'm not worried about having to bring back because I guess in my own childish way I've gotten the last laugh. Well more like a chuckle. So really I got the last chuckle.
Anyways, after that there was the Toronto Police Chief at UOIT. Which was quite interesting, seeing as he could potentially be my next boss for a while. He was pretty well articulated and somewhat inspiring I guess you could say. He's done a great job so far(as far as I can see anyway) with Toronto. He's cleaned up a lot of the garbage and shit rats around the city(drug dealers, gangs, etc.).
So thats about all I have to say...Oh and I got 98% on my Interview/Interrogation test. Which is pretty good, I think.

I've applied at some great places, who's service is probably 1000% better than that sorry excuse of a company.

Well they've changed the bloody dates for the weapons training AGAIN! Fuckers.
(Dec. 16,17,18) I believe were the dates. It was changed from Nov. 27,28 for the sole reason of 2 more people joining up. How incredibly bullshitty is that? In my opinion completely. Not only unprofessional but really annoying. I mean you get your schedule all marked out and then boom they switch the dates around on you a week before. Especially for those who have jobs and have marked it down as days off. NOW its 3 days off...its unacceptable In my opinion, but then again how much does my opinion count in the hierarchy of administration ?

Well I went to the Peel Region Police HQ(Head Quarters).
Really cool stuff. I got to check out the cruisers(apparently the new chargers and the impalas aren't as good as the ford crown v's, INTERESTING). I got to see the parade room(nothing special)...uhhh...didn't get to check out the cells because someone was being held there. From there we went next door to the IDENT building(forensic investigation). Got to see the powder room where there dust objects for finger prints. We got to see where they photograph victims of crimes like assaults and photograph objects as well. We saw some other stuff that I can't remember at the moment. Ah well. Thats all I got folks.
So...
MOVE IT ALONG, NOTHING TO SEE HERE, YOU CAN ALL GO HOME.

So I started my job with CITIGUARD(i call it SHITTYGUARD) and they placed at me at some place that didn't even need security. It was a pain in the ass. 12hrs of just sitting there by yourself. Walking around. I know thats what security is about most of the time. But god damn, this place was completely secured. Nothing happened. So I pulled 2, 12hr shifts. That should run me $240. Its alright money...i guess ?
Im going to start looking for a more reputable company and something where I'll have a partner to keep me company. The time goes by a lot faster when you got someone to talk to. lol.

Now today, I'm going to Peel Police HQ(22Division) and then to court. It's going to be pretty interesting. Hopefully we can get to a Toronto station just so I know what to look forward to.
So thats all I have to report.
